Edera Brightest Minds Webinar Kickoff: The Future of Clinical Quality

Published on May 5, 2023

Access to data is rapidly increasing, which is leading to significant changes to measuring clinical quality and health outcomes. As a health care consulting company, we at Edera are constantly aware of this exponential rise in access to data and the resulting clinical quality and health outcomes measurement approaches and techniques. Last year, we had the exciting opportunity to kick off our Edera Brightest Minds webinar series with a panel on clinical quality with incredibly knowledgeable and talented industry experts.

We were thrilled to welcome a diverse panel of experts to our Edera Brightest Minds webinar series, which connects leading industry experts to discuss newest trends and critical challenges in health care. During our webinar, The Future of Clinical Quality: Where Do We Go From Here, we welcomed Dr. Elizabeth Drye from the National Quality Forum (NQF), Dr. Karen Dorsey from Yale New Haven Hospital’s Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), and Dr. Frank deGruy, recently retired Chair of the University of Colorado’s Department of Family Medicine.

Our very own Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kevin Carr, moderated the event, and led our distinguished panelists through a discussion about the current challenges in the quality realm, what the health care industry is missing for the future now that the industry has access to new data, and recommendations for people who are setting health care policy. Our panelists also engaged in a lively discussion on new government regulations and advanced payment models, which have led to a shift in quality measurement approaches.
